Mountain Cove Farms

Mountain Cove Farms Resort is located on the south end of Chickamauga, GA. Surrounded by amazing country views, we are within walking distance of the Ironman Chattanooga bike course and just a 30 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga.

The Cove House at our resort features a large, fully furnished home, which sleeps 16. We also have seven fully-furnished cottages, which sleep eight per unit. There is also a country store, restaurant and disc golf course on site. Parties and special events can be hosted in our Show Barn.

This property was described by former Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue’s office as being “one of the most scenic locations in Georgia, where the Lookout Mountain escarpment drops more than 1,000 feet to the valley floor.” Mountain Cove Farms Resort offers the perfect place to stay during events in Chattanooga, allowing you to get away from the city and into a country setting while visiting the Tennessee Valley.

Lula Lake Land Trust

Lula Lake Land Trust is an 8,000 acre watershed located on Lookout Mountain. Lula Lake provides visitors with an opportunity to hike, visit a picturesque waterfall and even cycle on some trails.

Lula Lake Land Trust is open to the public on the first and last Saturday of every month, excluding select holidays, as well as some Sundays.

Saturday hours for the land trust are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday hours (May-November) are from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There is no charge to enter Lula Lake Land Trust, but donations are accepted either online or at the gate.  
 



Lookout Mountain

The City of Lookout Mountain, Georgia sits atop the mountain bearing the same name, near the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The high, wide plateau that forms the top of the mountain is surrounded by near perpendicular cliffs that give way to a more gentle slope near the bottom leading into the regions of Chattanooga Valley, Lookout Valley, and the St. Elmo Historic District.

LaFayette Golf CourseLaFayette Golf Course

LaFayette Golf Course is on the south side of the city. From South Main, take Foster Mill Drive, turn right on Gasque Drive and right on Fred Henry Drive.
 
The original nine holes were built in the 1930s.  An additional 10 holes were constructed in 1992 and were designed by Arthur Davis.
The par 72 course features bent grass greens and hybrid bermuda grass fairways and rough.  Four sets of tees allow players of all abilities to enjoy its wonderful layout. There are many challenging holes to test players' skill as they play one of North Georgia's most beautiful courses.

Hidden Hollow ResortHidden Hollow Resort

Hidden Hollow is in the southern Appalachians and is a part of McLemore Cove, which is included on the National Historic Register. It is 135 mostly wooded acres of seclusion at the foot of, and on the side of, Lookout Mountain, 20 miles from downtown Chattanooga. The four-acre lake is spring fed with a small creek bordering the property.
