Complete the Adoption Contract & Application online. Appointments are ONLY scheduled after the contract & application has been submitted and approved.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: In order to lessen the burden on taxpayers, WCAS has an established price list for animal surrenders, owner reclaims and adoptions. These fees cover some of the expenses (deworming, heartworm test, flea treatment) incurred while caring for companion pets, and in many cases can be avoided through responsible pet ownership.
Fee list (per animal) effective October 1, 2019:
- Animal surrender – $10
- Owner reclaim – $25 (animal previously spayed/neutered)
- Owner reclaim – $80 (owner agrees to spay/neuter)
- Owner reclaim – $150 (owner refuses to spay/neuter)
- Adoption* – $50 (cats)
- Adoption* – $100 (dogs)
- Microchipping – $10
*All animals adopted from WCAS are spayed/neutered and vaccinated for rabies at no additional charge
